You enter now the complicated and fascinating world of the Rubik’s Cube.
This little thing was invented by a Hungarian professor of architecture, Erño Rubik, born in 1944.
The cube is a 3D puzzle he created in 1974. He originally called it the “Magic Cube”, and it became the “Rubik’s Cube” when it won in 1980 the Spiel des Jahres, the German prize for the best game of the year.
The Rubik’s Cube is composed of 26 little cubes, disposed in square. The cube has consequently 6 faces, each one including 9 colored stickers. The six colors of the cube are : blue, green, red, orange, yellow and white.
They are approximatively 43 quintillion of permutations! So if you try to solve it by chance, mathematics prove that it’s likely to take you more than a life to find the good combinaison.
But there is another way to solve the cube, explained : HERE.
Good luck :)
