Introduction about DELFT:
In the middle of the XVII century, Holland reached its peak as regards of trade politic and colonies, it was the Golden Age. For example, the Dutch had a colony called “New Amsterdam” in North America and under British domination it became New York!
Located next to La Haye, along the Rhin, Delft was a flourishing city. It was animated by breweries, textile factories and trade of the prestigious earthenware exported through Europe. It was an international exchange place lead by a strong middle-class favourable to art work purchase. Guillaume d’Orange/Le Taciturne liked to stay there and the United Provinces defeated Spain so that Delft had a huge place in the Dutch’s heart of the time.
